I don't know if anyone's noticed, but the YCN section of USA Dance's website is kind of empty, and all the YCN publications have been gone for over a year. After a fifteen month odyssey, I finally got in touch with the vice president for the YCN this week.
He tells me that the old YCN rulebook and proficiency point systems are no more, so colleges etc. should use the current Dancesport rules and proficiency points. There will be a document out soon that specifies the parts of the Dancesport rules which are relaxed for YCN affiliates, like costumes at syllabus levels etc...

Andrew Pueschel, the VP for YCN, tells me he's gearing up, and that we'll see more of them this season.
